A Field Guide To Oz Vision
Oz Vision is a new principle for visual display that delivers visual input to the brain through direct stimulation of individual photoreceptors. It bypasses constraints imposed by optical aberrations, eye movements, and even the spectral sensitivities of the photoreceptors. This talk will review the many technical challenges that had to be solved to enable such a display and highlight the contributions of many people who helped along the way. It will finish with a discussion of current and future applications of the technology.
