Meeting Location
The 2023 Fall Vision Meeting is happening in Seattle, WA, at the University of Washington's South Lake Union facilities (C building, 850 Republican St: map).
Getting around Seattle
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (map) is about a half-hour by car or an hour by public transit from the conference venue.
Seattle has many options for getting around. The South Lake Union neighborhood in particular is very pedestrian and cycle-friendly. The accommodations listed below are all less than a mile of our conference venue.
Our public transportation options include King County Metro, the Seattle Streetcar, and Link Light Rail. Ride share services include Uber and Lyft. E-bikes and scooters are available from Lime/JUMP and Veo. Both Zipcar and GIG have car share services in Seattle.
Parking
Pay parking is available at the facility on weekdays. The South Lake Union facility has two parking garages. You'll want the 850 Parking Garage, accessible off of Republican. There are disability parking spots located near the elevators on each level. The elevators will bring you right up to the lobby where the Fall Vision Meeting is occurring.
For weekends, there is also street-level pay parking in the area (free on Sundays) which is generally limited to 2 hours, 4 hours, or 10 hours (all-day) depending on spot. Seattle exclusively uses the PayByPhone app (no cash meters), which allows you to extend your parking stay remotely.
The street-level parking near the building has generally good availability on the weekend, and there are also a few disability-placard spots peppering the area. If you need guaranteed accessible/disability parking on the weekend, please get in touch with the local organizers and we'll be happy to coordinate a solution.
